PWA Turkemnistan : For me, this event was a shame!
Racing with 7knots or less, it´s not acceptable for our sport. First race with 13 girls the 2nd day at 6.30 a.m, 1st start and just 4 girls was in planning... the rest of the fleet was in planning 5, 10seconds after. For myself, i started before the last one because was impossible to take the planning before with my 7.8 GS-R and 115L. With a weather like that, impossible to go forward, the classification was already done at the first buoy. A SHAME! The most of the girls and boys thought that the race was cancelled but NOT! WHY? because the organization said : we mix your sails with the boys' so we didn´t see if really all the girls was in planning or not.... BRAVO BRAVO, GOOD EXCUSE for a world cup!
2nd race, same gear 7.8 and 115L, the wind was blowing more or less around 12 knots. I didn't make a good start, but in every jibe i was recovering some places, at the middle of the race i was 6th, but unfortunetly, at the last mark, the wind dropped and the sails of the girls behind of me disturb me for taking the wind... so i finish last. I´m very sad of this result, it´s so hard to accept it and more when the conditions are ridiculous. I can´t change nothing... it hurts!
