Stand up earlier than yesterday for skippers meeting at 9 a.m. The wind blow yet. All the day was windy but too much gusty to start some races, the wind turn NW to E, pick in up to 20 knots and dropping to 5… the wind plays all the day with our stress untill 5.30 where the wind pick in up stronger, so i decided to take my GUN SAILS 7.1, PATRIK 115L and VECTOR FINS 37.5. I prefer to keep the 115 for the holes in the wind that exits all the day.
The race is quite good, but the way to the first buoy my reference was a ship that when I was arriving had moved up and I was very much more upwind and needed to do a very wide and long jibe and Estelle Barre passed me taking the inside. We continue like that the rest of the race, in pursuit, but without changes at the end. 1st Maëlle Ghibaud, 2nd Estelle Barre, 3rd Marion Dusart… Then, the wind drops almost completely, and has been the end of the day. One race done for each men and girls. Meeting tomorrow morning for the last day of the championship at 10:00 AM for briefing. The forecast is not good, so no time for more action.
